Figure Drawing Session

1-evening, independent session with a live model | $25

Capacity of 15 attendees

Join us for an evening of drawing from a live, clothed model in a relaxed, welcoming studio setting. This monthly community session offers artists of all skill levels the opportunity to practice drawing from life alongside fellow creatives.

The session will begin with a series of shorter warm-up poses, followed by longer poses that allow participants to develop more finished studies at their own pace. This is a self-directed drawing session designed to encourage observation, experimentation, and regular practice.

Drawing from life is one of the best ways to strengthen your understanding of gesture, proportion, value, form, and composition while developing confidence in your own artistic voice. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or are an experienced artist looking to keep your skills sharp, you'll enjoy spending time drawing in a supportive creative community.

Please bring your own drawing materials. Participants are welcome to work in graphite, charcoal, ink, colored pencil, other dry drawing media, or even paint. Easels and drawing boards will be available as space permits.

*”Picnic in Waimea”, painted at the last drawing event, by Seth Engstrom.
